It is 1.15am GMT on Tuesday 20th December and we are preparing to ship all orders received so far later on today in order to give the gift baskets the best possible chance of arriving before Christmas.
We use all the major couriers and will be upgrading to the express 24 hour delivery service from now on for all orders.
GBUK.com is still taking orders and is up to date with all processing.
Our logistics operation this year has been running smoothly due in no small part to the more favourable weather conditions than last years white out, which afflicted the British Isles.
All couriers are delivering up until Friday 23rd December. However we prefer to ship Tuesday and Wednesday so that we can intervene if problems may be encountered or people are not in. Also some businesses close for Christmas on Friday, so we don't like to take that chance.
Gift Baskets UK will all be working on Friday 23rd December to help our customers with any issues. Please assist us by emailing any problems you may be experiencing. Otherwise call us, give the details of your problem and a member of our team will work with you to assist in resolving any delivery issues. We will close for Christmas at 15:00 GMT on Friday, but will re-open on Wednesday 28th December and Thursday 29th December.
Gift Baskets dispatched on Wednesday 28th December and Thursday 29th December will be upgraded to express service. No Gift Baskets will be dispatched on Friday 23rd December unless they are non perishable.

Father's Day Gifts
Hi Folks,
Just a quick reminder that this Sunday, the 19th June, is Father's Day. And what better occasion to send a yummy food hamper, as they say the way to a mans heart is through his stomach after all!
We created a new range of meaty hampers for Father's Day featuring hams & salmon, creamy cheeses and lots of new nuts & snacks to choose from.
If you would like to create your own Father's Day gift basket then this is also possible on our sister site.
Couriers in the UK do not deliver on Sunday's, so it is best to pick delivery on Thursday 16th or Friday 17th June. Parcel Force do offer a Saturday delivery service, but this is a limited service & so is a little more expensive. It is handy if you didn't get round to ordering on time though, or if your dad is likely to be unavailable on weekdays.
So please take a look at the Father's Day range of gifts, or any other of the gift hampers we offer may also be suitable if he would prefer a chocolate gift basket or a fun or sporty gift basket containing magazines, dvd's or a remote control helicopter!

May - Mother's Day
The UK celebrates Mothering Sunday on the 4th Sunday of Lent, so in 2011 this was Sunday 3rd April. However, the majority of countries around the world actually celebrate Mother's Day on the 2nd Sunday in May. So this means their Mother's Day is this Sunday - 8th May! Royal Wedding & May Day Bank Holidays
Hi all, can you believe the Easter Holidays are over already! We hope you enjoyed some family & relaxation time in the sun. Operations at GBUK have returned to normal, but only for a couple of days as there are some more holidays coming up...!
This Friday 29th April is the Royal Wedding of Prince William & Kate Middleton. Because of this many people in GB are getting an extra days holiday, so they can join in the celebrations. This means the courier/delivery companies are not collecting or delivering, so at GBUK we have decided to take the day off too.
Then the following Monday, 2nd May, is the May Day bank holiday which means another day with no deliveries or collections possible.
Any orders placed on Friday 29th & over the long weekend will be dispatched on Tuesday 3rd May.
There are still deliveries tomorrow (Thursday 28th) though in England, Scotland & Wales so why not send a basket of goodies for your friends & family to enjoy into while they watch the Royal Wedding, or to take on a picnic on May Day?
Or Saturday delivery to UK addresses is also an option for £23.50. Order by 3pm on Thursday 28th though please. There are no Parel Force collections on Friday so anything for Saturday delivery also needs to go on Thursday 28th. We would advise picking a non-perishable basket if possible please, as the weather has been unusually warm in the UK so fruit/salmon might not arrive completely fresh after 2 days.
Our delivery couriers in Ireland & Northern Ireland (Nightline) will still be delivering on Friday 29th, so please get in touch if you would like a Friday delivery to an address in Ireland or with a BT post/zip code. Or simply place your order & reply to your email confirmation requesting a Friday delivery (possible for orders placed before 3pm on Thursday 28th to Irish addresses)

Easter Gift Baskets
What gorgeous weather we have been having lately! It may well even be time to crack the barbie out. Spring is finally here & has brought a bit of sunshine with it. Hopefully the April showers will stay away! April also means that Easter will soon be here too. Good Friday is the 22nd April this year, with Easter Sunday on the 24th & Easter Monday the 25th April.
Easter time is a special time at Gift Baskets UK, as it goes hand-in-hand with baskets. They remind me of Easter Egg hunts & picnics with family. Easter baskets are also a great gift idea. For Easter 2011 we have had great fun designing some cute new Easter gift baskets, some are for children (or big kids!) and some for the whole family to enjoy!
Your children, grandkids, nephews, nieces or God-children will be delighted to receive one of these beauties! As well as Easter Eggs, chocolates, lollipops and sweets they might even find the Easter bunny himself! Our Easter goody baskets are then decorated in cellophane & pretty ribbons. Family Easter baskets are also popular & in these you will also find all the same things, but also a few extra's like freshly baked cakes, flapjacks, muffins and cupcakes!

Couriers won't be delivering on the public holidays, so we advise picking a delivery day a few days in advance. In the UK they tend to take Good Friday & Easter Monday off, but start delivering again on Easter Tuesday. Your gift arriving a bit early may help mums & dads to keep the kids entertained on the school holidays anyway!

Valentines Gifts 2011
Less than a week to go until Valentine’s Day! Yes it has snuck right up on us & is next Monday, 14th February!!
We know many people out there may not have got round to organising a present yet, but fear not, you still have plenty of time to order from GBUK.
We will be dispatching all your Valentines Gifts on Thursday 10th & Friday 11th February, as the courier companies do not deliver at the weekends in the UK & Ireland. (Well unless you pay a big fat surcharge!) So long as you get your order in by 3pm this Thursday 10th February, we will post your gift off on the next (working) day service for delivery on Monday. So long as they don’t live in the Highlands, Islands or further afield like Europe, as delivery to these areas takes a little longer.
And who said Valentine’s Day was just for girls? I always get my husband a little something so he doesn’t feel left out! He annoyingly has his birthday a week later & so I have to think of 2 presents in a short space of time!
So what do you get the man in your life? Socks, a computer game or some new gadget?
